Orecchiette with Mussels and Broccoli Sauce, Romano Cheese
Mussels, broccoli, red pepper flakes and orecchiette come together for an easy, light meal.
Ingredients

Orecchiette | 1 box

Extra virgin olive oil | 4 tbs

Garlic, chopped | 1 clove

Red pepper flakes | TT

Mussels | 2 lb
-
White wine | 2 c
-
Broccoli | 4 c
-
Romano cheese | 1/2 c

Salt and pepper | TT

Chopped parsley | 1 tbs
Directions

Place a pot of water to boil. Meanwhile in another pot sauté garlic and red pepper flakes with 2 tbs olive oil for one minute.

Add mussels and wine, cover with a lid and steam until they are all open and cooked, about five minutes.

Discard the shells and set aside.

Cook pasta according to directions.

Add broccoli 2 minutes in, drain and toss with mussels mixture over high heat.

Finish with remaining olive oil and romano cheese before serving.
